Sheng Jiang Pi 生姜皮(Recens)               16.67%

Sang Bai Pi 桑白皮(Morus Cortex)             22.22%

Chen Pi 陈皮(Citrus Reticulata (Peel))       11.11%

Fu Ling 茯苓(Poria Cocos)                   22.22%

Bai Bian Dou 白扁豆(Dolichos Semen)        16.67%

Ze Xie 泽泻 (Alisma Rhizoma)            11.11%

 

Action and Indication: This formula strengthens the Spleen; regulates the flow of the Spleen Qi; dispels Dampness through urination; helps decrease edema.  It is used to help a person who has overall edema caused by the accumulation of Water in the skin due to Spleen Qi Deficiency.  Related symptoms are: edema of the whole body; heaviness sensation of the body and limbs; distention in the epigastric and abdominal regions; difficulty in urination; labored breathing.  Tongue is usually white and slippery.  Pulse is usually deep and moderate.
