Ban Xia 半夏 (Pinellia Tuber)      41.67%

Hou Pu 厚朴 (Magnolia Cortex) 12.5%

Fu Ling 茯苓 (Poria Cocos)        16.67%

Zi Su Ye 紫苏叶 (Perilla Folium)  8.33%

Sheng Jiang 生姜 (Zingiber Radix (Fresh Ginger))   20.83%

 

Action and Indication: This formula enhances Qi circulation; dissolves Stagnation; reverses the ascension of rebellious Qi; resolves Phlegm; disperses lumps.  It is used to help a person who has the sensation of something the size of a plum seed blocking the throat or esophagus.  Related symptoms are: difficulty in swallowing or spitting out; obstruction in the throat; coughing with profuse sputum; stifling sensation in the chest and hypochondriac regions; esophagiospasm; nervousness; emotional instability; palpitation.  Tongue usually has a moist or greasy, white coating.  Pulse is usually wiry, or wiry and slippery. 

 

主治﹕行气散结，降逆化痰。用于梅核气。咽中如有物阻，无法吐出，吞咽不下，胸胁满闷。
