Action and Indication:  This formula nourishes the Yin of Heart and Kidneys, tonifies Blood and Essence, strengthens the general energy, promotes the functions of San Jiao (three burners), eliminates the interior Phlegm and Heat for a person with deficiency of Blood and vital Essence of Heart and Kidney.  It is used as a sedative to relieve mental stress and as a febrifuge.  It is used for such symptoms as: forgetfulness, insomnia, restlessness, palpitation, fatigue, oral ulceration, dry stools, constipation, oral suppurative infection, mental exhaustion,

emotional instability, spermatorrhea,  hypertension, energy drained by over-mental activity. 

 

Contraindication:  For a person with Spleen and Stomach asthenia, loose stools, or stagnancy of phlegm and dampness.
